Ramona (Mun Mun) Cavanagh

Contemporary Indigenous Australian Artist / Arts Facilitator



Ramona is an internationally renowned Indigenous artist, a representative of Saltwater peoples of Northern NSW, (Minjungbul). As a culturally recognised visual storyteller, her unique and vibrant art works have shown at National galleries, have been published, commissioned, toured, and privately collected worldwide.

Ramona's recognition has lead to countless affiliations with community groups and conferences, profit and non-profit organisations, and private and government schools. This experience has included work with Flying Arts, Queensland Arts Council (and regional Councils), QLD Arts Museum, Brisbane Aboriginal Board of Elders, Rotary International, and NAIDOC Week, to name a few. She has also worked as Resident Artist & Cultural Guide for Couran Cove Resort, South Stradbroke Island, facilitating team building, providing cultural interpretive walks, art classes, and environmental tour guiding.

Her contributions reflect her various interests and talents, including; facilitating individualized arts and cultural programs, developing curriculum based programs for Indigenous studies, public mural design and beautification projects, representing the QAC Art Judging panel, and acting as facilitator to forums with government and community (among countless other ongoing activities.) In addition, Ramona has managed her personal business 'Mun-Mun Motives' since 2000, where she is able to facilitate her Personalized Indigenous Art Creations, provide her many services from Commissioned Artworks and Touring Exhibitions to Conference Theming and Public Relations.

Ramona is a passionate and talented artist, committed to the development and enrichment of culture and arts in Australia. She strives to create harmony between Indigenous and non-Indigenous cultures, in everything she does.
